At InSPE, we believe that attending school on a daily basis is essential to ensure the sustained development of children. These are the attendance requirements for our various classes:
The minimum attendance for children in Nursery is 5 mornings. If there is a waiting list, priority will be given to families choosing full time.
Staying longer at school
Children attending the Nursery school have the option of staying for morning sessions or for a full day. Morning sessions are from 08.45 until either 12noon or 1pm. Children staying until 1pm will have lunch provided by the school. If your son or daughter is ready for a longer day then there is the option of staying until either 15.15 or 16.15. Nursery children may extend their time in school during the course of the academic year if they are ready for it. Parents should talk initially with the class teachers to arrange this.
Although some children in Pink and Orange classes attend school full-time, due to their developmental age they often require a sleep in the afternoon. Please speak to the class teachers about this if your child needs a sleep so that it can be arranged.
Primary (P1 –P7)
All pupils must attend full-time.
In case of absence, please inform the school office at the earliest opportunity. The office phone number is 021 3803535
