Walk Around The Classroom
The class is ‘divided’ up into areas of experience. Each area has different activities in it. Although these may occasionally move around, these are the kinds of things you will find in each area:
We like building with wooden blocks.
We are learning to share and take turns while playing with the doll house.
We explore different types of paint and shiny paint is our favourite!
We gain knowledge of how to keep healthy.
Matching by colour is the first step to learning the colours.
We investigate colours by looking through lenses.
We are very curious about how things happen and how things work.
We help each other while painting with marbles.
We explore a variety of musical instruments every day.
We have started to listen to a short story as part of a group.
We really enjoy playing with coloured cornflour.
We used small containers to fill big buckets.
We can prepare our own snack.
We use our fine motor skills to build.
We have a lot of fun playing imaginatively with farm animals.
We enjoy making marks on different surfaces.
We enjoy dressing up according to the role we take.
We are developing fine motor skills while threading laces.
We observe and talk about different parts of a plant.
We learn how to complete simple computer games.
We gain confidence when spreading the glue to create a collage
We have started to join in with different rhythms using African drums.
We can retell a story by looking at pictures.
IWe learn how to be independent by choosing different cookie cutters for playdough
We investigated colours by playing with red boats and red water.
Thursday is fruit day and we enjoy making fruit salad.
We are co-operating and working together to build a road.
We are negotiating and discussing while playing with the train.
We enjoyed collecting and painting on stones in our Painting Studio.
We learned what is involved in a particular role: shop assistant/customer.
Slowly, slowly we gain confidence in many areas of learning.
We learn how to take care of plants and observe them grow with curiosity.
We have started to be aware that there are different ways to listen to a story.
We worked together to build a big, high tower for our princess during our Storyline project

In Nursery we enjoy tactile experiences and shaving foam is one of our favourites!
